Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (Wyre Forest District – Bewdley area) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2007 (Variation) Order 2026 [Disabled Persons’ Parking Space on Lax Lane, Bewdley]
On 26 February 2026 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to create a disabled persons’ parking space on the following lengths and sides of roads in Bewdley:-
Lax Lane (west side): from a point of 39 metres from its junction with Pritchard Court for a distance of 6.6 metres in a south westerly direction.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
The Order will come into operation on 19 March 2026

The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
