Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) Worcestershire County Council (City of Worcester) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 (Variation) Order 2026 [Prohibition of Waiting on Birchfield Close, Worcester]
On 29 January 2026 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following length and side of road in Worcester:
Birchfield Close: from a point 116 metres south of its junction with Merriman’s Hill Road for a distance of 40 metres around the turning end.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
The Order will come into operation on 19 February 2026.

The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
