A Christmas message from Councillor Jo Monk, Leader of Worcestershire County Council

As we reach the end of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone across Worcestershire a very happy Christmas. However you choose to celebrate, I hope the season brings you a sense of peace and a chance to unwind after a busy year.

Worcestershire is a wonderful place to spend the holidays, with its winter landscapes, festive lights, and the small touches that make this county feel especially magical at this time of year.

I hope you’re able to enjoy the simple pleasures of the season, whether that’s a walk in the crisp air, a favourite meal, or time spent with people who make you smile.

Worcestershire has a great deal to be proud of, and as we look ahead to 2026, my focus remains on ensuring our county continues to run smoothly.

The new year brings fresh opportunities, and I look forward to continuing the work that supports our towns, villages, and local people.

I hope this Christmas brings you a chance to recharge and enjoy the season in whatever way suits you best.

Thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a positive start to the New Year.
