Worcestershire County Council’s Archaeology team, Explore the Past, will feature in this year’s series of Digging for Britain on BBC Two.

An excavation in Broadway, Worcestershire has uncovered 8000 years of human activity from the Mesolithic to the Saxon period. However, it is the discovery of a beautifully carved bone box that has captured national attention.

The Digging for Britain episode, presented by Professor Alice Roberts, airs tonight (21 January) on BBC Two.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see the team’s work brought to life and to explore the remarkable discoveries that captured the imagination of so many.

Alternatively you can watch Series 13: 3. A Mysterious Bone Box and Admiral Nelson’s Favourite Ship now on the BBC iPlayer.

You can read more about the discovery and the excavation at Milestone Ground on the Explore the Past website.
