Healthy Worcestershire is making it even easier to look after your health with a new evening online session.
Now, residents can join from the comfort of their own homes, after work, and take part in a friendly, supportive group.
Each free session includes gentle exercises tailored to different levels to help with strength and balance, along with practical health talks on a variety of topics including looking after your mental health and online safety. The online sessions run every Tuesday from 6:45pm to 8pm.
Healthy Worcestershire sessions are funded by Public Health at Worcestershire County Council to improve the health and wellbeing of residents.
With 30 venues already welcoming people across the county, this new online option means you don’t have to travel to take part. Since launching in summer 2024, Healthy Worcestershire has created a welcoming space for people to stay active, learn about wellbeing, and meet others in the community.
And it’s making a real difference. In its first year, 99% of participants said they’re living healthier lives, and 65% noticed improvements in their strength, balance, and flexibility.
Councillor Satinder Bell, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing at Worcestershire County Council, said: “It’s fantastic to see Healthy Worcestershire going from strength to strength. The programme has been a real boost for so many people. The new evening online sessions make it even easier for residents to take some time for themselves, stay active, and look after their wellbeing.”
