Global manufacturing leader MiTek has officially completed the build on its new headquarters in Worcestershire, marking a significant investment in the county.
Completion follows a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new site at Worcester Six Business Park on Tuesday 9 December, celebrating the opening of the site. MiTek delivers integrated software, services, engineered products and automated solutions to the building industry.
The new 278,048 sq ft building, developed by Stoford, will become MiTek’s headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It will bring together the company’s UK operations and several European teams in one purpose-built location.
The ceremony was attended by MiTek Chief Executive Mark Thom, who travelled from the United States, alongside Alex Morgan, Director at Stoford, and representatives both Worcestershire County Council and Wychavon District Council.
Councillor Alan Amos, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Business and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “This is great news for Worcestershire and for local people. MiTek choosing to base its European headquarters here shows the confidence global companies have in our area. Developments like this bring skilled jobs, investment and long-term benefits for the local economy.”
Edward Peel, Director at Stoford: “MiTek’s decision to establish its EMEA headquarters at Worcester Six is significant for the region. It further strengthens Worcestershire’s reputation as a hub for international business. We’re extremely proud to mark this latest milestone and look forward to achieving practical completion on the state-of-the-art facility that will support new jobs, attract long-term investment, and contribute meaningfully to the region’s economic growth for years to come.”
Once fully complete, the new headquarters will support MiTek’s continued growth while strengthening Worcester Six Business Park’s reputation as a key employment site for the county.
