Healthy Worcestershire will run special Time to Talk mental health and wellbeing sessions from 2 to 7 February.
At Healthy Worcestershire sessions held throughout the week, you can learn how to start a conversation about mental health. Sessions are friendly and supportive. You will also pick up simple tips to look after your mental wellbeing.
Healthy Worcestershire sessions help people to stay active, meet others and connect with others in their local community.
Time to Talk Day, the nation’s biggest mental health conversation is on Thursday 5 February. It’s a day for everyone to come together to talk, listen and change lives.
Talking openly and honestly can be the first step towards better mental health for everyone. It can reduce stigma and help people feel comfortable enough to seek help when they need it.
Councillor Satinder Bell, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing at Worcestershire County Council, said: “I’m so pleased the Healthy Worcestershire team are focusing on Time to Talk Day. The day is all about reminding ourselves that talking helps and that none of us has to carry things alone. Even a small chat can help someone feel seen and supported.”
Healthy Worcestershire sessions are open to everyone. There’s no need to book, just turn up. Each session features some gentle exercise (no gym clothes required), a topic of conversation and chance to meet others and chat over a cup of tea.
There are 30 Healthy Worcestershire venues across the county. An online session is also available.

The Healthy Worcestershire programme is funded by Public Health, Worcestershire County Council.
