Families across Worcestershire will find out today, which secondary school their children will be starting at this September.
Worcestershire County Council received 6,175 applications from its residents this year and everyone who made an application for a secondary school place has received an offer of a place.
9 in 10 of Worcestershire’s children will be starting secondary school in their first preference school in September.
Councillor Stephen Foster, Cabinet Member for Education and SEND, said: "Today marks an exciting moment for families as children learn where they’ll begin the next stage of their education. I’m pleased that so many pupils have been offered a place at one of their preferred schools, giving them a strong start as they move into secondary education. Our admissions team works incredibly hard to make this process as smooth and fair as possible, and I’d like to thank parents and carers for engaging with the system so positively."
99% of this year’s secondary school applications in Worcestershire were made online by visiting the dedicated pages of the Council’s website.
School place offers are available to view via logging on to your account, and an email will be sent informing you of the update.
