Ready, set, go! Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run tickets are now on sale!

Lots of people are hunting for Black Friday deals, but there’s nothing quite like booking a sunny June event to look forward to and setting yourself a fresh fitness goal.

Now in its third year, the event has quickly become a highlight of the local calendar, not just for seasoned runners, but for anyone who wants to get moving, laugh with friends, and celebrate health together.

What’s on offer?

• 5k and 10k runs on traffic-free routes – this year there will be staggered start times to give runners more space and a relaxed send-off.
• Families on Track 5K relay race, perfect for parents, carers, grandparents and children to enjoy together
• a bespoke medal for every runner
• a family fun day with food stalls, entertainment, and activity taster sessions

World and Olympic medallist Steve Cram is once again lending his support, alongside the Events of the North team. Steve said: "The Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run is truly something special. Being part of this event is always a pleasure. With traffic-free routes, a course that suits all abilities and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere, it’s a standout grassroots festival of running."

This year’s charity partner is Acorns Children’s Hospice, who provide vital care for seriously ill children and their families.

Wythall and Hollywood fun run is organised by Wythall Community Association with support from Worcestershire County Council and Events of the North.

Councillor Satinder Bell, Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run isn’t just about running; it’s about bringing people together, fostering community spirit, and encouraging healthier lifestyles.”

“We’re really excited for next year’s Fun Run,” said Sue Baxter, Chair of Wythall Community Association. “The 2025 event was incredibly popular, so we’re planning to welcome even more people to Wythall while still keeping that friendly, intimate atmosphere. This includes introducing staggered start times for the 5K and 10K races and expanding the event village to make it bigger and better than ever.”
