Opening times

New technology at Evesham Library allows customers with Libraries Unlocked membership to enter the library using their library card outside normal opening hours and to use library services independently when staff are not present. 

Customers who upgrade to free libraries unlocked membership will be able to access the library from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday to Saturday. If you have yet to upgrade, please visit the library during core opening times and speak to staff.

Essential roof works at Evesham Library (Key Information)

Library access changes

From 23 March, the Oat Street library entrance will be fully closed, and customer access will be via the Aldi car park entrance or the High Street entrance only. The main staircase in the library will not be available for the duration of the works, but customers will be able to access the first floor via the lift. The library car park will be closed closed during the roof works.

Library services during the works

Most library services will remain available during the project, including computers, Wi-Fi, books, digital support, printing, study spaces, the children’s library, meeting rooms, toilets, and self-service machines. Microfiche will be unavailable for the duration of the work, but access can be arranged at the Hive Library in Worcester. There may be some noise disruption, but we will work with contractors to minimise the impact on customers.

During Libraries Unlocked hours

Libraries Unlocked access will be via the Aldi car park entrance only. The Libraries Unlocked access panel will be temporarily relocated to this entrance. The customer lift will not be available, and the first floor of the library will be out of use for Libraries Unlocked customers. Please speak to a member of staff if you require any stock items to be brought down for you before your Libraries Unlocked visit.

It is anticipated that the overall project will be completed by September/October 2026. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period of necessary work.
