Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS)

Information about Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS).

What is PINS?

Partnerships for inclusion of neurodiversity in schools (PINS) is a national programme that brings specialist health and education professionals and expert parent carers into mainstream primary schools to: 

  • help shape whole-school special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision
  • provide early interventions at a school level
  • upskill school staff
  • support the strengthening of partnerships between schools and parent carers
  • strengthen knowledge and skills
  • improve environments to better meet the needs of all children, but with a particular focus on neurodivergence

A group of schools from both Herefordshire and Worcestershire are involved.

How is SENDIASS involved?

SENDIASS is proud to be one of the partners of this project in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. We are responsible for delivering training to the schools involved in the programme. This training focusses on effective  communication with parent carers using the Parent Engagement Toolkit. 

We will also be delivering free webinars for all local parent carers. 

Webinars will include: 

  • A Guide to SEND
  • How to have an effective meeting
  • Introduction to dyslexia 

Worcestershire schools not involved in the programme will also be able to access our webinar Parent Carer Engagement in Schools for Professionals in Worcestershire.
