Bladder and bowel issues

Information

Supporting Children with Bladder and Bowel Needs

Bladder and bowel difficulties can happen to any child at any age. With the right care and understanding, children can stay healthy, confident, and fully included in all activities.

Every child has the right to good health, dignity, privacy, and education. Settings must make reasonable adjustments to meet each child’s needs and make sure no one is treated unfairly because of bladder or bowel issues.

Worcestershire County Council, with partners in Health, Public Health, and PD Outreach, have created guidance to help settings support children effectively.

For more help, contact the Physical Disabilities Support Teams at:

  • Outreach - Regency High School (South Worcestershire)
  • Chadsgrove School (North Worcestershire)
