Worcestershire Local Habitat Map

View Worcestershire’s Areas of Particular Importance for Biodiversity and the LNRS mapped Potential Measures.

Disclaimer: The Local Habitat Map is a guide and shows suggested actions (‘Potential Measures’) for nature recovery. It is important to undertake site specific investigations and seek expert advice and the necessary permissions before starting work on the ground. The Local Habitat Map should not be treated as definitive but as a tool to help plan and coordinate action for nature recovery.

A Local Habitat Map is a statutory part of a Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS).

The purpose of the map is to:

  • map the most valuable existing areas for nature (Worcestershire’s ‘Areas of Particular Importance for Biodiversity’)
  • map the areas that could become of importance for biodiversity if the right actions (’Potential Measures’) are delivered in the right locations
