Waste Planning Policy
The Council is the Waste Planning Authority for Worcestershire and is responsible for preparing planning policies on waste management development.
Consultation on early baselining and evidence for a new waste plan is taking place between 25 February 2026 to 15 April 2026. Find out more by clicking on ’Preparation of a new Waste Plan’ below.
The Council’s policies are set out in the Waste Core Strategy which was adopted on 15 November 2012.
The Council has started work on the evidence base to support a new Waste Plan. Once adopted, the new Waste Plan will replace the Waste Core Strategy.
