Bikeability cycle training

Bikeability is about gaining practical skills and understanding how to cycle on today’s roads.

Bikeability for adults and children

For a limited period we are running FREE Bikeability courses on Saturdays throughout the year.

Sessions include Learn to Ride and Levels 1 through to 3.

Courses are for adults or children aged 5+. They can also be adapted to be inclusive to enable all where possible to take part. Loan bikes, trikes and helmets are available upon request.

Prior booking is essential.

Evesham VeloPark

Venue: Evesham VeloPark, Cheltenham Road, Evesham, WR11 2LZ.

Learn to Ride

These sessions are for those that can balance but can’t pedal. 

Times: 10:00am to12:00pm

County Hall Campus Worcester

Venue: County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP (meeting point is the entrance to The Orchard Cafe).

Learn to Ride

These sessions are for those that can balance but can’t pedal.

Times: 10:00am to 12:00pm

Level 1

These sessions are for those who can pedal but want to gain confidence with cycle handling skills in a traffic free environment.

Times: 10:00am to 12:00pm

Level 2

These sessions are for those that can already cycle but want to build confidence in and around traffic. Training takes place on quiet roads to experience “real cycling”.

*This course is only suitable for ages 9+

Times: 10:00am to 3:00pm (break 12:00pm to 1:00pm)

Level 3

These sessions are for those ready to learn more advanced skills. This might include more complex roads.*

Times: 10:00am to 1:00pm (break 12:00pm to 1:00pm)

Venue: Cycle Track, Stourport Sports Club, Kingsway, Stourport-on-Severn, DY13 8BQ.

Bikeability training for schools

We offer National Standard Bikeability Cycle Training to all schools delivered by qualified Instructors (check if your school are already delivering Bikeability). Schools can book via the Bikeability Team.

The following levels are available:

  • Balance
  • Learn to Ride
  • Level 1, 2 and 3
