SENDIASS training at Worcestershire Family Hubs

Changes and transitions within a child’s life can create uncertainty. They can be small things like finishing playing a game to get ready for dinner to big things like starting a new school. This free, interactive workshop will provide parents and carers with strategies and resources to support their child through changes.

Who is it for

This workshop is for parents and carers of children who struggle with change and are due to start school in the next few years. 

What to expect

From this workshop you can expect:

• practical guidance and tips on how to support your child through change
• interactive activities to help create a personalised action plan
• the opportunity to ask questions and discuss real-life scenarios  

Session details

This workshop will take place over two sessions. The first will focus on coping with change at home and the second will focus on preparing your child for starting school. 

Takeaway

By the end of the session, parents and carers will have a clear action plan to help their child navigate change.

SENDIASS workshops are delivered in partnership with Learning Services Worcestershire.

Most of our workshops are subsidised by the Department for Education (DfE). They require us to collect information from learners to monitor how we use the funding they give us.
