The Enterprising Worcestershire Start-It Business Masterclass is a fully funded, two-day programme designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs and new business owners in developing and launching successful businesses.

Delivered monthly at locations across Worcestershire, the masterclass provides 12 hours of structured, face-to-face support covering business planning, financial management, and the key steps required to launch and run a business with confidence.

Funded by Worcestershire County Council and delivered by Rock Solid (Worcester) Consulting, this pre-start initiative equips participants with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to build strong foundations and achieve sustainable growth in the critical first year of trading.

Eligibility

This programme is open to aspiring entrepreneur’s resident within Worcestershire and new owners of businesses that are less than 12 months old.

The offer

Over the two-day course, you’ll receive essential insights and practical knowledge, all delivered by an experienced Rock Solid Consulting Advisor. 

The programme covers a wide range of topics crucial to launching and growing a business, including:

  • tools for researching your idea, identifying your target market, and assessing your competition
  • understanding the importance of a Business Plan and Cashflow, and how to create them
  • selecting the right legal structure for your business
  • managing start-up costs, taxes, accountancy records, and invoicing
  • strategies for branding and promoting your business

Upon successful completion of the workshop, you will walk away with:

  • a comprehensive understanding of how to set up and register your business
  • Bespoke Business, Marketing, and Cashflow templates, along with an actionable implementation plan
  • a detailed handout with recommended reading for further learning
  • ongoing access to newsletters, and a network of business specialists
  • complimentary access to the Worcestershire Entrepreneurs group for 12 months

How this project is funded

This programme is funded and delivered by Worcestershire County Council in association with the District Councils (Bromsgrove District Council, Malvern Hills District Council, Redditch Borough Council, Worcester City Council, Wychavon District Council, and Wyre Forest District Council).
