The Council does not endorse any of the below activities and this webpage simply highlights the range of options that are available to support men’s wellbeing.

Local support

We are Men United CIC

A male only group (age 18+) in Worcestershire for men experiencing feelings of low mood, poor self-esteem and struggles with general poor mental health. Improving mental wellness through peer support and mentoring.

They offer a safe space to talk about your concerns and look for support for your mental wellness and to combat loneliness and isolation. They have a team of highly experienced Mental Wellbeing Coaches who work in a non-judgemental, kind and supportive way who aim to facilitate free sessions and interventions that lead to a brighter tomorrow.

Men’s Walking and Talking campaign

Men Walking and Talking currently run mental health walks with the aim of bringing men together in a safe space to end the stigma around men's mental health by supporting each other. 

Takes place in Worcester and Kidderminster on Wednesdays at 7:00pm.

Men’s Sheds

Men's Sheds are local spaces for men to connect, make friends and enjoy activities. There are groups across Worcestershire.

SANDS United FC club

SANDS United Worcester Football Club, creates an environment for Dads and men in Worcestershire. Based at the RGS The Grange pitches.

The club is based at Worcester, Perdiswell Leisure Centre and takes place on Thursdays from 8:00pm.

You don’t have to be a dad to come along, if you are a grandparent, uncle or any other relation we will accept you with open arms. The club aims to help men navigate through difficult times of their lives, and if we can have a little fun along the way then let’s play ball. 

MANUP podcast

MANUP is a podcast about men's mental health, aiming to get men talking about mental health more.

Evesham’s men’s mental health gym

A club for men based in Evesham and the surrounding areas. The group is a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space for men to come and talk openly about their thoughts and worries.

The club takes place every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at the gatehouse (oat street chapel), oat street, Evesham (opposite Wallace house).

Yoga for men

Yoga for men, building confidence for those who have never tried yoga before as well as supporting those with experience. 

Takes place at ‘The wellbeing tree’, Bromsgrove, Mondays at 8:00pm.

The men’s circle

A peer network, online ‘The wellbeing tree’, for men to chat, listen and express thoughts in a confidential, non-judgemental space. They welcome all ages and backgrounds.

Worcester foodbank

Available for all genders. Worcester foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, as well as across the UK. 

It is available for men and offers opportunities for men to get involved and support others while boosting their own mental health.

Worcestershire safe haven

Available for all genders. Worcestershire Safe Haven provides telephone support and face-to-face appointments to Worcestershire residents who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Offering a listening ear and support and guidance with accessing other services. They can help you manage the difficult times and hold your hand towards better mental wellbeing.

Healthy Worcestershire for men, women and older age

Available for all genders. Healthy Worcestershire is an exciting programme commissioned by the Council open to anyone over the age of 18 who live, or are registered with a GP in Worcestershire.

It specifically aims to improve people’s strength and balance, promote healthy lifestyles and help people stay socially connected and, safe from crime as they get older. 

Available for men and women. Weekly sessions run in local venues, close to where people are living and within the heart of communities. Sessions include strength and balance programmes, healthy lifestyle advice, community safety information and links to a wide range of other health-promoting activities in the local community. 

Located in different venues, Worcester, Malvern, Redditch, Evesham, Kidderminster.
