Mental health social work

Working in partnership to support recovery for people with mental health needs.

We work in partnership with people who use mental health services, carers, the NHS and other organisations to ensure that a range of services are provided to support recovery for people with mental health needs.

The Mental Health Social Work Team

We have two Mental Health Social Care Teams, one covering the North of Worcestershire and one covering the South of Worcestershire. Both are made up of social workers and social care workers.

Each team supports people make connections to their neighbourhood and community, as well as considering whether more formal care and support is required under the Care Act 2014. For more information, see:

There is a social worker available on the phone every day, to have a conversation with people who need support to live a good life due to mental health difficulties.
