Co-production and how to get involved (SEND)

Co-production and how to get involved (SEND)

Find out about the different ways parents, carers, children and young people can be involved in improving SEND services.

The views and experiences of families with children and young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are an important part of our development and improvement of services in Worcestershire.

We have several ways which parent carers, children and young people are listened to and involved, for example:

  • parent carer representatives and children and young people on strategic groups and boards
  • contacting parent carers and young people to gain their feedback on specific service areas, through our Quality Assurance programme
  • service areas within SEND reach out to their families and ask for their engagement and feedback to help shape future developments

It is important for us all to work together on an equal basis to create the best services.
