Co-production toolkit and resources

Co-production toolkit and resources

Practical tools and resources to support you with participation and co-production.

Aim of the toolkit

This is the first version of the toolkit. This is a dynamic toolkit that will evolve over time through co-production. If you have any suggestions on how to improve this toolkit or would like to share any resources to add to the toolkit, please fill in this form: Co-production Participation toolkit feedback

The aim of the toolkit is to give a practical understanding of what co-production is, how effective it can be and how to embed co-production. We hope this tool will:

  • give an overview of what co-production is
  • give ideas to help embed co-production into your work
  • show Worcestershire’s commitment to embed meaningful co-production

About co-production

Co-production is a way of working where everyone involved is treated as an equal partner. It is based on mutual respect and the belief that everyone has valuable knowledge, skills, and experience to contribute.

Through co-production, people work together to design, develop, or improve services and make decisions that benefit everyone. By combining different perspectives and experiences, services become more effective and better suited to meet the needs of children, young people, and families.

Co-production helps build a shared identity and purpose among everyone involved. It can also enhance people’s self-worth and confidence by giving them opportunities to develop new skills and gain valuable experience.

Ultimately, co-production leads to stronger partnerships, more meaningful outcomes, and improved services for all.
