Measuring the quality of co-production (SEND co-production)
See how we measure the quality of co-production within projects and initiatives.
This tool has been co-produced by service staff, parents, carers and young people from Voices United.
- it is for use by all participants in a project to help measure the quality of co-production they have experienced, this is to enable discussion throughout the project and improvement overall, it also means that different viewpoints can be included
- some project groups might choose not to use the tool directly, but all project groups should have a stated method for measuring co-production
- once the project is complete, the Project Lead can score and evidence the quality of co-production on the tool - this should then be shared with participants for discussion
- there are simple scoring statements above each ‘Cornerstone’ table, a more detailed scoring framework can be found after the tables in the tool
- below are some measures and indicators of good co-production, these measures support the co-production quality tool and help assess how effective co-production has been and its impact on the service
